In the picture, you’ll find the part numbers for all three fittings. The check valve in the center is made of brittle acrylic plastic. If it is overtightened, even slightly, it can crack very easily. It should only be snugged—not tightened excessively.

We recommend slightly twisting the tube in the unscrewing direction before inserting it into the next fitting. When you release the tube, it will naturally tighten itself.

You may notice that the fittings to the right look different—and you're correct. We changed to the new style because the previous plastic material was more brittle. Unfortunately, there is no alternative available for the check valve.

Be sure to install the fittings in the order shown in the picture!

Male fitting at the front → Check valve in the center (prevents backflow and head contamination) → Female connector at the left rear, leading to the back of the machine.
