How Does DTF Printing Work?
With a dual head design, the DTF-12H2 printer lays down the colors in a blend of C, M, Y, K, LC, and LM colors with the first print head. Then, it uses the second head to lay down a white ink underbase on top of the colors in perfect alignment, keeping any white from peeking out.
Next, you apply the moisture seeking adhesive powder to the back of the transfers using the DTF Shaker Kit and then cure it utilizing the DTF Cure Tray. This is what gives DTF prints their signature soft touch.
The PET transfer film being used in this process is translucent, allowing you to see the design underneath it when you go to heat press it onto a garment later on. The film is roll fed and designed for a hot peel, making it easier to speed up production.
