Common questions

How do I know which ColDesi DTF printer is right for my business?

Each ColDesi DTF printer is designed for a different combination of workspace, production needs, and growth goals. A ColDesi equipment specialist can learn about your business, help you compare the available systems, and guide you toward the machine that best fits your operation.

Can I see the DTF printer in action before I buy?

Yes. ColDesi offers opportunities to see its equipment through in-person showroom demonstrations and live virtual demonstrations. This allows you to see the workflow, ask questions, and better understand the equipment before making a decision.

Is training included with my ColDesi DTF printer?

Training and support are listed across ColDesi’s current DTF printer lineup. Most ColDesi equipment purchases include training, although the exact training format and package eligibility may vary depending on the machine and configuration selected.

What does ColDesi’s DTF printer training cover?

Training is designed to help you understand equipment setup, operation, software, routine maintenance, and the overall DTF production process. Depending on the equipment, training resources may include self-paced courses, videos, written lessons, downloadable materials, and live online instruction.

What support is available after the printer is installed?

ColDesi provides ongoing access to training resources, instructional content, and a technical-support ticketing system. When an answer cannot be found in the training or support library, customers can submit a support request for assistance from the technical-support team; ColDesi’s current DTF lineup also advertises nationwide technicians.

Can someone who is new to DTF printing learn to use the equipment?

Yes. ColDesi’s onboarding and training resources provide a structured path for new operators to learn the equipment and production workflow. The training remains available as a reference, allowing operators and additional team members to review important procedures when needed.

What software is used to operate a ColDesi DTF printer?

ColDesi’s current DTF printer lineup lists Print Optimizer Software – DTF Edition for preparing and managing print production. The exact software version, computer requirements, and included features should be confirmed for the selected printer and package.

Does a DTF printer require regular maintenance?

Yes. Routine maintenance is an important part of operating any DTF printer and helps support reliable production and consistent output. ColDesi’s DTF training covers equipment operation and maintenance, while the precise procedures and schedule are provided for the individual machine.

What should I prepare before my DTF printer arrives?

You should plan for an appropriate operating area, adequate access for delivery, the required electrical connections, a compatible computer, and any ventilation or environmental needs associated with the selected system. Because printer dimensions and configurations vary considerably, the exact requirements should be verified during the purchasing and onboarding process.

Are financing options available for ColDesi DTF printers?

Financing opportunities are available for qualifying customers. Available terms, payments, down-payment requirements, and approval conditions depend on the equipment package and the financing provider.

Description
6-Station Automatic DTF Heat Press

ColDesi AP360 Automatic DTF Heat Press

The ColDesi AP360 is a fully integrated, six-station automatic DTF heat press built for shops that have outgrown manual pressing. Engineered for high-volume apparel decorators, contract printers, and fulfillment operations, the AP360 turns the slowest part of DTF (applying transfers) into a continuous, load-to-unload production line. With a rated capacity of 350+ garments per hour, it is designed to clear the bottleneck that holds back growing print shops: not the printing, but the pressing.

If your transfer printer can keep up but your press table can't, the AP360 is built to close that gap.

Why High-Volume DTF Shops Move to an Automatic Heat Press

On a manual press, an operator loads the garment, positions the transfer, runs the press, peels the carrier film, runs a finishing press, and unloads — one shirt at a time. As order volume climbs, that workflow forces you to add labor and cost just to keep up, and output stays tied to how fast a person can move.

The AP360 takes a different approach. Its six-station rotary carousel keeps multiple garments in process at once, so while one shirt is being pressed, others are being loaded, peeled, and finished in parallel. The result is a steady production rhythm instead of a start-and-stop cycle.

Production Highlights
350+ Garments-Per-Hour Capacity   PLC Touchscreen Control
Two Industrial Heat-Press Stations   Fast 5-Second Minimum Press Cycle
  Automated Film/Carrier Aeel   CE-Certified Construction
  Continuous Six-Station Carousel   2-Year Warranty
  Auto / Semi-Auto / Manual Modes   2-Day On-Site Installation & Training

How the Six-Station Carousel Works

The AP360 routes every garment through six dedicated stations, each handling one stage of the transfer process so the line never has to stop and reset:

1 Load Station — the garment is positioned on the platen.
2 Transfer Placement Station — the transfer is aligned for accurate registration.
3 Primary Press Station — the first industrial pneumatic press bonds the transfer using set heat, pressure, and dwell time.
4 Carrier/Film Peel Station — the carrier film is removed automatically, eliminating a tedious manual step.
5 Final Press Station — a second finishing press is applied for improved adhesion and wash durability.
6 Unload Station — the finished garment is removed and staged for packaging or fulfillment.

Because the stations run in parallel on a rotating platform, a single operator can keep the line moving rather than running one press at a time.

AP360 vs. a Manual Heat Press

For shops weighing the jump from manual pressing, here is how the two compare side by side:

Feature Manual Press ColDesi AP360
Production Speed ~180/hr. 350–365+/hr.
Film Peeling Manual Automated
Operators Required Multiple Single Operator
Workflow Stop & Start Continuous
Consistency Operator-Dependent Automated
Scalability Limited High-Volume
For shops running large apparel orders, the AP360 is designed to roughly double output compared with manual pressing, while reducing how dependent that output is on added labor.

Designed to Reduce Labor Dependency

Skilled production staff are hard to find and keep. By automating the film peel and consolidating the press workflow onto one continuous line, the AP360 is built to let fewer operators produce more — which can help lower per-garment labor cost as volume grows.

  • Fewer operators needed to sustain high output
  • Less repetitive manual handling per garment
  • Faster operator training on a guided, station-based workflow
  • More consistent results across long production runs
  • Fewer bottlenecks between printing and finished goods
